Album: This Generation
Artist: Sonicflood
Label: INO
Sounds like: Deliriou, Planetshakers

Sonicflood is one of those groups (or singers masquerading as a group) that straddle the worship and rock camps by making praise and worship music so big and loud that you are unlikely to hear its equal in a church near you. Semitrailer sized guitars are great of course, but here they tend to delay a “haven’t I heard this somewhere before?” feeling. It’s like these songwriters have a limited stock of standard lines (“you are worthy” etc) that they just endlessly rearrange. Even such talented writers as Marc Byrd and The Choir’s Derri Daugherty and Steve Hindalong can’t seem to take the blinkers off. Yes, “This generation” rocks, but sometimes that’s not enough.
