Despite all we could say about Planetshakers (that their albums sound the same, their guitars are too loud, their lyrics are dumbed down and their idea of church puts a noninclusive separation between “audience” and “performers”), they always sound like they’ve had their Berocca for breakfast, and it can be infectious. This church-as-rockconcert music is stripped to the basics and designed to bore into your brain (and, with plenty of energy). Whether it’s your cup of Milo or not, you have to admit that the ‘Shakers have a handle on it.
