Album: All Gas, No Brake
Artist: Stellar Kart
Label: Curb/Word
Sounds like: Reliant K, Simple Plan

Student driver” starts proceedings with the perhaps obvious metaphor of learning to drive down the road of life with God as passenger, but Stellar Kart hit top speed, so to speak, with such simple, everyday messages. “Life is good” hinges on the dead simple slogan “Life is good, eternal life is better,” while “Spending time” encourages time-out with God in a busy schedule, and matches it nicely to frantic but sunny music. Like Simple Plan, Stellar Kart mix new school with other rock styles, but for those expecting even more, a creative reworking, in the spirit if not the letter, of Bon Jovi’s skyscraping 80s hit “Livin’ on a prayer” should bring a smile to the face.
