Think Big

This is a book about giving our best and especially about doing whatever we can to help others—about thinking big—one of the important concepts of my life” (page 1).
Ben Carson’s life certainly didn’t start as anything very noticeable, but as you read Think Big you’ll see that, thanks to the help and encouragement of his mother, it grew into a life worth recognising.
Think Big, written by Carson and Cecil Murphey, outlines Carson’s journey from an underachiever and the “stupidest kid in the class” to world-renowned neurosurgeon and the top of his class.
His journey, however, is lined with mentors, friends and others who believed in him. No matter what he was doing, Carson would always remember his mother’s words, “Bennie, you can do anything they can do— only you can do it better!”
As you read, think big, and, like Dr Carson, the doors will open for you.

Julene Duerksen-Kapao writes from Longburn, NZ.
