Profiles in Faith

Fifty thrilling and inspiring stories of people who have made a difference in the world we live in—from C S Lewis to Simon Peter; Martin Luther to Amy Charmichael.
Some of the names may be new, like Auntie Wang, and others like old friends (Paul, Thomas and Mary, the mother of Jesus). Each one of these people demonstrated amazing character and faith throughout their lifetime. Some are remembered for words they said–or didn’t say–while others for a particular character trait. Harald Sala catagorises the individuals into groups such as “commitment,” “faith,” and “overcoming,” which demonstrate where they truly shone their light for God.
Inspired by the events of September 11, 2001, Sala compiled stories to inspire people with little interest in God and faith. Profiles in faith provides an insight into the lives of people who didn’t just change the world they lived in, but paved the way for others to follow.
